What do you give someone who already has everything she needs?

That is the question we kept coming back to. Another candle, another scarf, another gift card she will forget by March. The things people actually keep are never the expensive ones. They are the ones nobody else in the world owns.

So we built Dearlove around one idea: put the name, the date, the birth month or the message into the piece itself, and the gift stops being an object. It becomes proof that you were paying attention.

What we make

That is the whole brief. Not a statement piece, not something for the back of a drawer. A ring, a bracelet or a necklace light enough to live on her hand every day, carrying a name only the two of you would recognize.

Made for one person

People assume that buying jewelry online means pulling a finished item out of a bin. Ours cannot work that way. Until you tell us the birth month, the two names, the date, or the words to hide in morse code, there is nothing to pick up.

Every order is made to order. The stone is set for the month you chose, the engraving is cut for the letters you typed, and the piece is finished and boxed before it goes anywhere. That is also why it takes a few days longer than a warehouse would.

Why it costs what it costs

A personalized ring on a mall counter carries rent, staff, a display case and two layers of wholesale before it ever reaches you. We carry none of that. We sell in one place, our own store, and we ship from the workshop straight to the door.

Our quality rule

What we refuse to ship

We do not own a factory and we are not going to pretend we do. What we do own is the right to say no. Because each piece is personal, a mistake cannot be absorbed by the next order: there is no next order that looks like yours.

So every piece is checked by hand before the lid closes. The spelling is read back letter by letter against what you typed. The stone is matched to the month you picked. The plating is checked for even color, the edges for anything that would catch on a sweater. If a piece does not pass, it does not go in the box.
